Consistent feedback to beyondblue: the national depression initiative, and their consumer and carer arm, blueVoices, has identified people's difficulty accessing quality primary care and specialist mental health practitioners in Australia for the treatment of depression, anxiety and related substance-use disorders
The development and maintenance of this list is ongoing and is not intended to be a complete directory. The initial stage of development will include details of medical practitioners who have completed either level 1 or 2 of the 'Better Outcomes in Mental Health Care Initiative' (BOIMH) training. Additional practitioners (e.g. psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists in mental health) will be considered in the next development stage. Practitioners may request to have their details removed from this list at any time.
This listing aims to improve access to treatment and contribute to continuing mental health service reform across Australia.
